Soya Methi

I tried a recipe with Soya Chunks(Nutrella, Meal Maker) and turned to be good. This is very nutritious and healthy.

Here is the recipe
1 cup of Soya Chunks
2 tomatoes
1 onion ( 1/2 chopped, 1/2 grounded)
2 tbl spoon Kasoori Methi
1 1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp amchur powder
1/2 tsp ginger paste
4-5 cashew(ground to a paste)
1 tsp Jeera
1 tbl spoon butter
salt to taste

Method:
  1. Crush the tomato into a puree and keep aside
  2. grind 1/2 onion and keep aside
  3. Soak the soya chunks for 10 min and Boil the soya chunks and keep aside
  4. In a hot kadai add butter and jeera and allow it to splutter.
  5. Add the onion paste and cut onions and fry for a while till it turns transparent
  6. Add the tomato puree and cook for about 5 min
  7. Add all the masala powders
  8. Add water to make it liquid
  9. Add the cashew paste and cook till the gravy thickens
  10. Add the soya chunks and stir well
  11. Methi Soya is ready to serve with Roti, Rice or naan.
