I tried a recipe with Soya Chunks(Nutrella, Meal Maker) and turned to be good. This is very nutritious and healthy.
Here is the recipe
1 cup of Soya Chunks
2 tomatoes
1 onion ( 1/2 chopped, 1/2 grounded)
2 tbl spoon Kasoori Methi
1 1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp amchur powder
1/2 tsp ginger paste
4-5 cashew(ground to a paste)
1 tsp Jeera
1 tbl spoon butter
salt to taste
Method:
- Crush the tomato into a puree and keep aside
- grind 1/2 onion and keep aside
- Soak the soya chunks for 10 min and Boil the soya chunks and keep aside
- In a hot kadai add butter and jeera and allow it to splutter.
- Add the onion paste and cut onions and fry for a while till it turns transparent
- Add the tomato puree and cook for about 5 min
- Add all the masala powders
- Add water to make it liquid
- Add the cashew paste and cook till the gravy thickens
- Add the soya chunks and stir well
- Methi Soya is ready to serve with Roti, Rice or naan.
