Today is my favorite sundal when compared to any of the sundal. It is called Kondakadalai in tamil also called Garbanzo beans. There are many ways to make this sundal. I just made a very simple type.
1 cup Channa (soak for 3-4 hours)
2 nos Green chillies
2 tsp coconut
few sprigs Curry leaves
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tsp channa dhal
Salt to taste
- Pressure cook channa or keep in microwave for 15 minutes till it cooks.
- In a small pan pour 1 tsp of oil, mustard seeds, green chillies, channa dhal and curry leaves.
- Allow it to splutter.
- Add channa, coconut, salt and stir well for 2 minutes.
- Sundal is ready to serve.
